Looking like ‘life-size’ Tonka toys, this undated photo provided by Dept of Port Admin shows two recently received Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) trucks called Global 4x4 Strikers, sent to Pago Pago International Airport’s ARFF unit.

The purchase was funded by the US Federal Aviation Administration at a cost of $1.5 million (or $750,000) per truck. As a requirement by FAA, ARFF is required to get two new trucks as directed every ten years, and an official with FAA Honolulu was on island recently to inspect and approve the two trucks.
